Eric M. Andersen is a trial lawyer that represents minority investors in class action lawsuits and appraisal petitions filed nationwide. In addition, he represents activist shareholders who are seeking representation on the board of directors and/or books and records. Mr. Andersen was appointed co-lead counsel in Sean Dyer v. James E. Minarik, et. al., Case No. 13-25795 CA 40 (Fla. Cir. Ct. Miami-Dade County) which recovered $1.1 million for shareholders. Mr. Andersen was also counsel of record for In re Pamrapo Bancorp Shareholder Litig., Docket No. L-3608-12 (N.J. Super. Hudson County) which recovered $1.9 million for shareholders. In addition, Mr. Andersen was lead counsel in Furlong Fund, LLC v. Solitron Devices, Inc., C.A. No. 8212-VCL (Del. Ch.) causing the Company to hold after trial a long over-due annual meeting to elect the board of directors. Finally, Mr. Andersen was lead counsel in Lidster v. FreshTec, Inc., C.A. No. 9121 (Del. Ch.) causing the company to produce books and records.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Andersen was an associate at other successful plaintiffs’ firms Prickett, Jones & Elliott, P.A. and Levi & Korsinsky, LLP. He graduated from Delaware Law School in 2003. During law school, Mr. Andersen served as an extern for Judge Mary F. Walrath of the Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware. Also while in law school, Mr. Andersen was on the editorial board for the Delaware Journal of Corporate Law.
Mr. Andersen is admitted to practice law in the State of Delaware and to practice as a certified public accountant in the State of Maryland. He is also admitted to appear in the United States District Court for the District of Delaware and the Supreme Court of the United States.
Mr. Andersen is a member of the Corporation Law Section of the Delaware State Bar Association and the American Academy of Attorney-Certified Public Accountants.
