Jessica Sleater Interviewed for Supporting Diversity in Judiciary Appointments
For the first time ever, white male judges made up less that one half of judges appointed to oversee multi-district litigation, including national class actions and mass torts. The diversity of appointments included judges of different races and women. Andersen Sleater Sianni attorney, Jessica Sleater, was interviewed for highlighting diversity in the arguing for the appointment of a certain judge in her case before the multi-district panel. She emphasized the importance of diversity in the judiciary particularly in considering class actions that involve a significant group of individuals in the population from different backgrounds as well.
