World's Largest Credit Card Lender Pays over $770m for Illegal Marketing

The U.S. Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and Office of the Comptroller of the Currency ordered Citigroup, Inc. to pay $700 million back to its customers and fined it $70 million for its illegal marketing of credit card add-ons including credit monitoring and debt-protection products and wallet-protection services.
