FTC Prohibits BMW from Representing that Customers May Only Use MINI Parts and Dealers

The Federal Trade Commission approved a final consent order that will remain in place for 20 years prohibiting BMW of North America LLC and its MINI Division from falsely representing to consumers that BMW would void their warranty unless they used MINI parts and MINI dealers to perform maintenance and repair work in violation of the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act.
